Hi! We're Halo, Nicci, and Em. We wanted to create a women-owned and women-centered business, so we set out to help the push to modernize period care.
The original goal was to create a menstrual care product that made periods more comfortable, less inconvenient, less painful, and far less barbaric. Menstruation should not feel like a quiet, miserable disadvantage for one quarter of every month, for the majority of your life. Maybe one day we will still make that product.
But along the way, something else became impossible to ignore:
There is no period store.
Period care is relegated into a single grocery store aisle, and it rarely includes the best options available. Many grocery store products rely on low quality fibers, may contain heavy metals, are disposable by default, and are wrapped in stigma instead of care. They are inconvenient, consumable, and treated like something to hide rather than something millions of people live with every month.
The products that actually support comfort, sustainability, and different bodies exist, but they are scattered across the internet and hard to find. Maybe one or two might be on your feminine care isle. Your period could be so much better. Discovering the right period care today requires hours of research, multiple open tabs, and a lot of trial and error. We have sat in front of our computers, and scrolled on our phones, comparing brands, reading reviews and reddit threads, adding items to cart, and hoping we did not just spend money on something that sucks.
Period underwear, discs, cups, reusable pads, interlabial pads, cramp patches, magnesium sprays, and other modern solutions are not nearly as accessible or normalized as they should be. Taking care of your period should not feel like a research project or a financial gamble.
There is a clear gap in period care. Convenience. Curation. Normalization.
So we decided to build what we wish we'd always had.
We are creating the go-to destination for menstrual care, and eventually menopause care too. A specialty store on the level of Ulta, Sephora, Apple, Home Depot. A place where women, nonbinary AFAB folks, transmascs, and anyone else with a vulva can find high quality, thoughtfully curated products that actually work for their bodies.
You don't deserve garbage, shame, misery, or needless discomfort. And neither do we.
Just better options, honest education, and the belief that you deserve care that meets the standard that men are accustomed to. Periods are normal. Supporting them should be too. It's time for that to be easier.
